Auditions for The Nutcracker are now open to Central Florida dancers in grade 3 and up.

Volusia Civic Ballet invites Central Florida dancers in grades 3 and up to audition for our 2026 production of The Nutcracker. Auditions will be held Saturday, August 15, with callbacks on Sunday, August 16, for dancers interested in joining us on stage at the Peabody Auditorium this December.

The Nutcracker Auditions
Auditions are open to all Central Florida dancers in grade 3 and up.
— AUDITION WEEKEND —
Auditions: Saturday, August 15, 2026
Callbacks: Sunday, August 16, 2026
All rehearsals are held on Sundays.
— AUDITION TIMES —
12:00 PM
Junior: Grades 3–5
1:30 PM
Intermediate: Grades 6–8
3:00 PM
Senior: Grades 9 and above
— LOCATION —
South Beach Dance: 129 North Palmetto Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32114
Audition and rehearsal studio
— ATTIRE —
Ladies: Black leotard and pink tights. Hair should be worn in a ballet bun.
Gentlemen: White T-shirt and tights.
Intermediate and Senior Dancers: Bring pointe shoes if you have started pointe work.
— REGISTRATION PRIZE DRAWING —
Register through August 7, 2026 to be entered into a prize drawing.
The winner will be announced on Instagram.
